BOOKKEEPER

The bookkeeper position handles all financial transactions, reports, and in-house accounting. All financial information will be input, stored, and managed in Quickbooks but proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also required. The bookkeeper will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and loan draws.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all invoices are complete and accurately entered into Quickbooks
  • Issue invoices to projects and tenants
  • Check-in and pay applications from vendors
  • Assemble loan draw paperwork
  • Ensure that receivables are collected promptly including rent and reimbursements from tenants
  • Pay vendor invoices in a timely, accurate manner
  • Record receipts and make bank deposits
  • Reconcile all company accounts on a monthly basis and produce reports
  • Issue financial statements as required
  • Provide information and assist in supervising external accounts
  • Process payroll
  • Collect employee expense reports
  • Provide administrative support on projects as requested
  • Track vacation accruals
  • Prepare necessary reports, forms, etc. for external tax preparation
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and apply accordingly

 

Desired Qualifications:

The bookkeeper candidate should have an associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience, as well as a knowledge of bookkeeping and Quickbooks.
