The Switch
The Switch is a $30 million dollar multi-family, retail, and office development in downtown Fishers, Indiana. Recognized year after year as one of the best places to live in the United States, Fishers has embarked on an effort to develop the area surrounding its downtown area, known as the Nickel Plate District. The Switch sits prominently in front of City Hall and is a short walk away from the community amphitheater, library, park, and countless restaurants.
Loftus Robinson worked closely with the City while master-planning the project to incorporate a variety of public uses. Among them, the Switch incorporates a plaza and train station to service special events on the adjacent rail line. With the rate of downtown growth, parking has become increasingly important, so a parking garage was constructed and oversized to serve public demand. Overall project amenities include a fitness center, private courtyard, rooftop decks, shared conference spaces, and bike parking.
